We're having a great time here at GTC! Hey, we're in a tropical paradise! It's easy to have a great time here!
We celebrated Valentine's Day with FFF at the Crow's Nest, or better known as Max and Mary Earl's house.
|
Ribs, potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw, baked apples, yeast rolls and pineapple upside down cake for dessert! |
|
Mary Earl and Max, our gracious hostess and host. Thanks for having us over! |
|
FFF, with Emma showing off the sailboat napkins we used. She's from a sailboat, so what do you expect? |
|
Me and my sweetie. Notice my heart top and red heart necklace. I was ready for this celebration!
|
We took a short trip to Manjack to anchor out, enjoy the beauty, see the turtles, rays, and starfish.
|
Beautiful sunset |

Can you tell what the three boats in the pictures above have in common? They're all three grounded on a rock. It's near the shore and boats are constantly running aground on it. Bad luck for them.

...and of course Dave and Emma are with us!
Full moon rising.
Yeah, Laura's finally opened! I can have my spicy mango chicken wrap! Lore from Sea Wolfe, Shay, FFF, Jim and Char, Mary Earl and Bill from Sea Wolfe. We had a great time.
Dave declaring his love for Emma with a big heart in the sand!
As you can see, it's not always blue skies and fluffy white clouds in GTC.
We welcomes George and Christie on ChristinaSea. It's their first time at Donny's but they seem to fit right in. They shall forever be know as "the big yellow boat". Can you guess why? It's a Great Harbor N47. Shay likes the boat-shallow draft, small engines, roomy. We've never seen one ith an awning like this.
Hello from Bill
Bill and Lore, always welcome.
Some of the many faces of Donny.
...with a back spasm on the dock..
...working with his pet chicken close by... And yes, he does have a pet chicken that follows him around and even naps in the house!...
...challenging himself with another problem
...working out all this little pieces that make up "Donny's World"
Flora on GTC
Frangipani. Sweet smelling,usually at night.
Bougainvillea- yellow, orange, deep pink, and purple. The true flower is tiny and white and surrounded by brightly colored leaves.
Yellow elder. Attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. It's the national Bahaman flower.
You can see the "real flower" of the bougainvillea.
Hibiscus, it blooms all year round and its flowers are edible.
The philodendron plant grows wild here. It will take over a tree and the leaves are huge
Snake plants also grow wild and some are nearly as tall as me. OK I know that's not gigantic, but its big for what we usually see as an indoor house plant.
Moses-in-a-boat. It gets its name from the leaves which are shaped like boats and hold the seeds.
And now a walkabout the town
We watched them build this cottage last year. Pretty
along the Abaco Sound
Palm tree
The official welcome to "town".

We are so excited! Shay's mom and sister are flying down in early April and we can't wait. Hope the weather is good so we can take a trip to Manjack, No Name Island, and explore this beautiful island!
