Our next stop is Lake Worth at Palm Beach. We left at 6:50 and had a good trip. We passed by some beautiful houses on the ICW. We had a short day and got here about 11:00. I had started lunch early-meatloaf, carrots, peas, and mashed potatoes. We ate a big lunch and then had a lazy afternoon.

Our plan is to go outside tomorrow to No Name Harbor, south of Miami. The weather looks good. That will be a long day.
We left at 5:30 in the dark. We know we have long day and want to get it started as soon as we could. The inlet at Lake Worth is very well lighted. It looks like an airport runway. So it's easy to go out of in the dark.

The water was great. Small waves very spread out. That's what we want. You never want to be in water that has waves that the height is greater than the time between. So 4' waves with 3 seconds between them is bad. But 2' waves with 10 seconds between them is good. You just have to pay close attention to the weather and make the right decisions.
We had a long day but it was calm and easy. But we did see hundreds of jellyfish all long the coast. George decided he was not going swimming! We got to No Name Harbor at 4:30. We ate dinner, took showers and settled in to watch TV.

We have not made definite plans for tomorrow. The weather for Saturday is perfect to head down to Marathon, but Sunday is calling for rain and thunderstorms. We may stay here for a day or two and left the weather settle down.
We knew there was a cruiser's net in the area and were pleased when we heard Julie from Coup d' Amour was in charge. We talked to her before the net and she got us a mooring near her and Matthew. We have not seen them since Black Point Settlement in 2013. So, We decided to move to the other side of the bay and check out Coconut Grove. We have heard a lot of good stuff about the area. On the way, we went into No Name Harbor to see what it looked like. I thought it was too small for us, unless we were the only boat there.

We moved over and put the dinghy in the water, but before we could get started, Matthew and Julie came to visit us. It was so good to see them again and they even took us for a tour of the area close to the waterfront. We enjoyed talking to them and catching up. Sounds like they have some exciting projects for the future. Good luck with them!

We ate lunch with them at a great pizza place. Then we went to the Saturday Farmer's Market. They had everything, fruits, veggies, cakes, pies, salads, spices, crafts, and more. We liked looking around at all the stuff.
Sunday was rainy all day long. We kept thinking it would stop, so we could go back to shore, but we were stuck on the boat all day! So we read, googled, facebooked, napped, and got all rested for the next day.
It's a good thing we did get all rested up, because we walked for hours and hours. We saw lots of beautiful buildings and stuff. We walked and looked for somewhere to eat and finally got a sub. We enjoyed the trip to shore and were ready for a rest when we got back.

We had decided to go back across the bay today to make our early morning trip tomorrow, go easier. We left the moorings and anchored right across the bay from where we were. We ended up having several other boats with us. That's ok, it's a big place to anchor.

Up and moving about 6:30 Tuesday morning. Happy Veteran's Day! We are going to Rodriquez Key which is about half way to Marathon. We have made the trip in one day, but it was very long, hot, and exhausting. We were heading due west into the setting sun and trying to dodge hundreds of crab pots right in the channel. The trip today will take us about 7 to 8 hours depending on how fast we go.

We got to Rodriquez about 2 pm. We have a few other boats here with us but that's ok. We had an easy afternoon/evening. Reading, napping, dinner, baths, then blogging and TV. Tomorrow we'll start the Marathon adventure.
