Myrtle Beach to South Santee River

We left Myrtle Beach at 7am. It was a beautiful morning on the ICW.

"America" a beautiful old "Trumpie"
Damage along the way down the Waccamaw River
You can see how high the water was during the hurricane. About 8 feet.

Beautiful tree

We went to South Santee River. We got there about 4pm. After traveling almost 9hrs at 6.5kts for 57nm. We had some trouble at the Socatee Bridge. Not because of the bridgetender but because of the bridge taking so long to open. It's not unusual to wait here, but it's because the bridgetender makes you wait, even though it's supposed to open on demand. We had a good push from the current and at one time we were going 8.9kts when we should have been going about 6.5kts. Woo-Woo.  SeaSalt and Spray had dinner with us on Escape tonight. Good food and good times.

Beautiful sunset
