We have just arrived in Morehead City and docked in our slip, that we've owned for 6 years and never put a boat in until now. Buying this slip 6 years ago was the first step we took toward living on a boat.

I need to explain something to you. We started the trip knowing that we wanted to keep a blog but had no idea how to do it. We had so much to learn about the boat that we didn't have enough time to figure out how to do it at first. We made our first post on the blog while anchored on the Frederica River in March. Everything that we have posted so far, has come from my journal.
Saturday morning a friend came by and asked if we had been keeping up with the weather and that they were calling for bad storms. We told him we weren't really worried. We feel safe since we are not at anchor, but tied to a dock.
We just wanted to let our friends and family know that we are here safe and sound. We are going to Mount Airy tomorrow to visit our family and friends.
Our next post will be a continuation of our trip. Maybe I'll get caught up soon.
