North Miami to Stuart FL.

We left the anchorage at 7:05 and headed out to the Gulfstream. We were traveling at about 7.5kts before we got to the Gulfstream and got up to 10.1 with the push from it. That's great! Free speed!
Our chart plotter showing our speed, 9.9, and depth 723. Not our fastest speed or our deepest water!
We went back inside to the ICW at Lake Worth. We had a lot of current and lots of small boats to avoid. They just don't realize that we can't stop and put the boat in park, like you can a car!

Lake Worth skyline from the water.
Heading into Lake Worth Inlet, lots of waves and small boats!

Looks like a tropical destination!

We could not believe this boat! I bet there are 30 people on it! I hope the Coast Guard doesn't stop them! I bet they don't have enough life jackets on board! And we did meet the Coast Guard boat shortly after seeing this boat. This is just a disaster waiting to happen!
Big cruise ship getting ready.
This is another busy harbor!
Peanut Island is a small inland just inside the inlet. You DO Not want to be traveling thru here on the weekend! Trust me!

Beautiful place
Really dark clouds!
Jupiter Lighthouse
Shay said, "Are they walking on water?"
There were hundreds of boats along this skinny place in the water. Well, at least it keeps them out of our way!
They may have to make a fast trip back home if those clouds do anything!
The gingerbread house is still here!
We had planned to anchor at North Lake Worth but decided to make a long day and head for Hobe Sound. It's a new anchorage for us and it turned out to be a good one. We traveled a total of 76.5nm in 9.5 hours. Our average speed was 8.1. See that Gulfstream push helped at lot!
Beautiful sunset
Beautiful calm sunrise the next morning

We left at 7:00 the next morning. We are going to Stuart, FL today. We will travel up the ICW to the St. Lucie Inlet and then get into the St. Lucie River and travel about 7 miles to Stuart. We don't usually go so far off the ICW but we stopped in Stuart on our maiden voyage and liked the town and several people have told us it's a great place to spend a few days. We are having a short day, since we traveled extra yesterday.
This is a girl house
This is a boy house
They live side by side!
Love the colorful pontoon boat and love love love the tug!
We look like we are in the middle of nowhere, but we are not!
We got to Stuart at 10:00 am. We like days like this. We traveled a total of 16.3nm in 3 hours. We had been communicating with Margaret and Ken on Rocking B and they changed their plans and met us at Stuart. It's great to see them again!
Welcome back Rocking B. The boat has been in the Bahamas and Caribbean for 2 years!
Ken and Biscuit on deck. Margaret and Auggie are driving!

We spent two days in Stuart. We took several walks around town checking out the shops and restaurants. FFF and Salty Turtle recommended a Thai place so we all went to lunch there one day. We had a great meal at the marina restaurant too. It was fun catching up with Rocking B and hearing about their adventures. We plan on traveling together for a while. It's funny, you meet people on the water, spend time with them, then go your separate ways, then meet them again and its like you were never apart!

So we can check Stuart off our list of places to visit this trip. Wonder what new location we'll go to next?
