We left Vernon River at 7:55 heading to Hell Gate. It's only a few miles from our anchorage. We got there at high tide with 8' of extra water so as our Australian friends on Southern Star would say, "no worries, mate!".
We were going with the current part of the way and were traveling 9.8kts! Our engine rpms would get us about 6.5-7 so we were getting a good push. Better going with the current than against! And we do that sometimes too.
We were providing a buffet for the birds |
Meet these barges. Glad it was a wide place in the ICW. |
We got to Wahoo River at 12:45. We traveled almost 5 hours at 6.1kts and went 30.32nm.
Our trip today |
Southern Star invited us all over for a burger on the barbie! We had a great meal with burgers, sausage, slaw, salad and fixings! We all contributed to the meal and it was yummy.
Jojo wanted to clean out her cabinets, so Connie and I got all kinds of goodies for our boats. Thank you so much.
We were all excited about the "super moon" tonight. It was cloudy last night and we didn't get to see it and tonight is clear. We had a peaceful night at anchorage. What more could you want?
Beautiful sunset |
Beautiful "super moon" rise |
